Every week here in NILI, there are opportunities to go on outings.\u00a0 Though these activities change semester-to-semester, here is a list of activities of what has been done in the past:<\/p>\n

  • Attempt different activities on the Equator<\/li>\n
  • Ride a cable car to 14,000 ft to view the city of Quito<\/li>\n
  • Learn about Ecuadorian culture in museums and cultural exhibits<\/li>\n
  • Check out Colonial Quito founded in the 1500s<\/li>\n
  • Explore open-air markets<\/li>\n
  • Be amazed by the beauty of the historic churches and cathedrals<\/li>\n
  • Take pictures in and around volcanoes, rivers, waterfalls and more<\/li>\n
  • Try typical foods such as cuy (guinea pig), hornado (pig), fritada and more<\/li>\n
  • Travel to the Gal\u00e1pagos Islands on a 5 day\/4 night cruise<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Ministry Opportunities<\/h1>\n

    The focus of our cross-cultural program is hands-on Christian ministry.\u00a0 Because of this, NILI students in the Undergrad Program will attend ministry services and participate in ministry activities.\u00a0 Undergrad students will receive college credit for these activities through our class titled Travel and Ministry Practicum.\u00a0<\/p>\n

    Living with your Ecuadorian Christian host family, you will attend and serve alongside them in their local church. Experiences like these will bring life-long meaningful relationships and allow you to participate in transformative cross-cultural ministry.<\/p>\n

    – Each semester, NILI holds 4-6 days of ministry<\/p>\n

    – Possible activities: painting, cleaning, holding children’s services, singing, evangelism, etc<\/p>\n
